Arbor Networks is currently searching for a seasoned Network Security Sales 
Professional responsible for selling Arbor Peakflow X, an internal security 
product focused on worm, misuse/abuse and network segmentation to large/mid 
size Accounts in the Southern US Markets.  This person will be responsible for 
the prospecting and acquisition of new accounts.   Responsibilities will 
include (but not limited to) the following:

•  Cultivate and close new prospects in target markets of Financial, 
Retail, Healthcare, HiTech and State/Local Government 
•  Make presentations to prospects and customers; manage, maintain and 
up-sell accounts; Ensure resolution of account problems
•  Acquire and work with partner organizations that are essential for 
sales to the target customers (systems integrators and or resellers)
•  Make quota but also set and achieve objectives




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Experience/Qualifications:

•  5 to 10 years experience selling to large/mid size Enterprise accounts 
(must have a strong rolodex)
•  5+ years previous experience selling network security solutions (IDS, 
IPS, Firewall, Network Security devices)  especially in their early conceptual 
stage (e.g. ISS, CISCO, Checkpoint, NetScreen, NAI, Symantec)
•  Strong technical understanding (IDS, firewalls or network security 
appliances)
•  Previous start-up experience 
•  Demonstrated results orientation

Desirable Skills:

•  Deal hunter and closer, hungry, able to sell alone
•  Ability to create and sell concepts and work with engineering & 
marketing
•  Straight forward, courageous and high integrity – people person
•  Ability to think strategically and act tactically
•  Consultative sales skills and good overall relationship management 
skills, solution sales oriented
•  Excellent negotiating skills
•  Structured and well organized; ability to prioritize and precision in 
forecasting
•  Service minded; interest in customer
•  Socially mature and easy to communicate with, Team player
•  Presentation and representation skills
