Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Northampton, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-06-30
The successful candidate will be responsible for
daily high level administration of key security
systems, supporting the business and resolving
issues, including:
Provide technical advice to the business on security related technology
Deputise for the Information Security Manager as required
Carry out daily high level administration of key security systems, supporting
the business and resolving issues, including:
external email content management systems (MAILSweeper)
internet access systems (Websense, ISA, SurfinGate)
anti-virus (McAffee)
system access control (RSA SecureID)
patch management
Take a lead role in the development and upgrading of key security systems
Provide technical advice to the department on security related technology
Monitor new threats/vulnerabilities and advise the business accordingly
Ensure a basic understanding of non-technical areas of security including
policies, procedures and compliance to ensure technical systems are compliant
with business/legal requirements
Provide assistance to the Information Security Manager to ensure cover during
absence
An understanding of information security technologies, including:
firewalls (Checkpoint Firewall-1)
vulnerability analysis/IDS (ethical hacking experience, etc)
network security & TCP/IP
Microsoft products (NT, 2000, XP & 2003 also SQL, IIS etc).
A basic understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements relating to
computer use
