Position: Information Assurance Engineer
Location: Dulles/Falls Church/Washington D.C., Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-07-15
-Provides information assurance subject matter expert support throughout the
system development lifecycle.
-Evaluate and assess compliance with established information assurance policies
and regulations.
-Advise management on information assurance trends and solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Must have knowledge or experience in conducting Certification and
Accreditation (C&A) activities, to include: data gathering and documentation
development of system security plans, risk assessments, certification
documentation, contingency plans (Continuity of Operations (COOP), Continuity
of Government (COG), etc), and security policy and procedure development.
-Must be knowledgeable in Air Force, OMB Circular, DoD, NIST and other
security/IA related military/Federal requirements.
-Experience in security controls client server, web-based systems, and
databases.
-Good writing and verbal communications skills.
-Able to develop and articulate Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
-Knowledge of Federal Information Security Standards and of Operating Systems,
Firmware, Applications, Networks, Databases etc used by the Federal Government.
-Have knowledge of DITSCAP, NIACAP.
-Experience with DoD Information Assurance Policies and Guidance.
-Thorough understanding of PKI principles or demonstrated ability to develop a
thoroughconceptual understanding.
Special or Unique Requirements Needed to Fulfill this position:
Security Clearance, prefer Secret or higher (Must be clearable! i.e. US
Citizen/Clear Background etc.)
-Be experienced in evaluating customer IT requirements and developing solutions
based upon those requirements.
-Be familiar with multiple UNIX OSs (Solaris, Linux, IBM/AIX, and HP/UX) and
Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server in complex enterprise environments. Apache
Web Server and/or HP Openview experience a plus)
-Be familiar with TCP/IP protocols (DNS, DHCP, BIND, Sendmail), including IPv6.
-Experience with programming/scripting languages and providing related
documentation of scripts in complex environments.
-Expert user of Microsoft Office products specifically MS Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Project.
-Excellent command of English grammar and IT systems migration planning and
execution.
-Familiar with standard security and IT best practices; Systems Lifecycle
Models.
