Verizon Security Solutions are designed to provide our customers with 
end-to-end risk management and mitigation. Solution components include 
professional services, risk and vulnerability management, compliance 
management, customer premises (CPE) and network-based security event 
monitoring, security application configuration management and security platform 
support. 

The Sr. Staff Consultant-Alliance Management will be accountable for providing 
operational support to channel sales and marketing organizations for order 
fulfillment and operational support of Verizon International Security Solutions.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Act as a tactical liaison between channel Sales and Marketing Organizations, 
Vendors   Partners, and Verizon Security Solutions Operations for Security 
Solutions delivery
2. Develop and support a Verizon security services methodology standard to 
govern the vetting and continued accountability of third party partners engaged 
by Verizon to deliver security services to Verizon customers.
3. Provide presales and operational technical expertise to support channel 
Sales and Marketing organizations.
4. Provide engagement and project management for the delivery of Verizon 
Security Solutions.
5. Communicate operational best practices to Verizon Security Solutions 
Operations and channel Sales and Marketing
6. Supervise the provisioning of on-going professional training to staff 
through formal training, seminars and workshops and regular skill assessments 
to maintain the highest level of security technical support to channel partners 
and channel partner customers.
7. Provide channel partners with tactical security technical operational 
expertise in the negotiation of vendor agreements, product development, 
packaging, messaging, development of collateral and channel management.
8. Provide vendor coordination and project management for the integrated 
delivery of Verizon Security Solutions to channel customers


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
· 7+ years experience working in a technical network sales or sales 
support capacity 
· 5+ years experience with network applications, LAN/WAN, data 
communications, and security professional services
· CISSP, CISA, CCIE
· Strong understanding of 2-3 key vertical markets (preference of 
healthcare, finance, state and local government, and Federal)
· Regulatory compliance requirements and strategies
· Operational policy
· Security Event Correlation 
· Understanding of risk and risk mitigation strategies
· Broad base of Security Technology Expertise
· Understanding of Service Provider Landscape
· In-depth knowledge of security hardware and software solutions 
including differentiators, licensing structures, pricing, etc.
· Consulting Methodologies
· Security Assessment and Baselining
· Security Planning· Architectural Design
· Security Auditing
Skills
· Effective communications (oral and written) and presentation skills
· Solid leadership skills, with experience building strong and 
productive teams
· Self-motivated, highly energetic, with strong analytical skills, and 
entrepreneurial approach to business
· Experience in the 10 security domains
· Understanding of Return on Security Investment (ROSI) methodologies 
Technical Skills
· Experience in the analysis of data received by Vulnerability 
Assessment tools, such as: Foundstone, Nessus/Tenable, NCircle, Internet 
Scanner, etc.
· Ability to design customer security solutions including network 
architecture and application interactions
· Ability to translate business requirements into technical 
recommendations
· Demonstrated PC skills (Word
