Position: Technical Writer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-06-30
Research and write documents such as user guides, online help, installation
guides, administration guides, and reference manuals. Work with busy
developers, product managers, QA, and support staff to produce high-quality
documentation. Follow standard documentation lifecycle procedures, such as
documentation planning and review.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Experience delivering high-quality, task-oriented documentation or online help
systems for developers, administrators, and end users. Effective time
management skills with the ability to work towards multiple priorities and
goals. Experience with some of the following technologies: RDBMS, SQL, and APIs
(ODBC/JDBC).
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, RoboHelp, FrameMaker, and HTML. Focused, with
a sense of humor and a positive attitude. Strategic, creative, analytical
thinker who can learn from and synthesize multiple viewpoints. Desired
qualifications: Knowledge of security and analytical applications, experience
with Java-based UI, Web applications, web-based administration, experience
documenting Java-based APIs; ability to read Perl scripts, able to work
independently and within teams.
