Position: Security Director
Location: Hughesville, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-06-24
Responsibilities include designing, proposing and managing security solutions
including critical utility facilities, computer systems and business
operations. Includes analyzing complex systems for security vulnerabilities,
performing risk assessments, conducting awareness training, and assuring
compliance with industry regs relating to physical and cyber security. Also
provides technical advice, conducts audits and provides facility access
oversight and policy recommendations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will ideally have a BS/BA in a related field with
CISSP (Certified Information Systems, Security Professional) or CISM (Certified
Information Security Manager) highly desirable. Ability to create both
technical project deliverables including report writing capabilities,
development of policies and procedures with strong presentation and
communication skills as well as a minimum of seven years of strong security
experience and five years of management with project management skills.
Experience in electric power industry preferable with experience with control
systems environment and physical utility plant security. Demonstrated knowledge
of security practice standards such as NIST, ISO 1799, NERC 1200 and GAISP.
Strong niche knowledge of security technology such as SSL, SSH, VPN, PKI,
IPSec, LEAP, encryption, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, ACLs, CCTV, IR
and Motion Sensors.
