Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Houston, Texas, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-07-10
We are seeking a dynamic individual to be responsible for the data security
function throughout Amegy Bank information environment. Protects company
information from internal and external threats, unauthorized access and loss.
Required to have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
within the system/application security field. Team leader in department
ensuring that junior level analyst are following procedures and offering
guidance on projects. Essential abilities: self sufficient in keeping up with
changes in technology utilizing internal and external resources; leadership;
excellent interpersonal and communication skills; discretion; ability to be
trusted in maintaining security for extremely sensitive enterprise-wide
applications, presentation skills; organization; time management;
prioritization; ability to translate technical information to a non-technical
user; patience and excellent customer service skills. Demonstrate leadership
skills and act
as department subject matter expert.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
Essential PC skills: work experience in security administration for at least
three technical areas, with a strong emphasis on MS Windows. Other technical
areas would include, but are not limited to, WAN/LAN networking, UNIX, AS/400
or MS Exchange. College degree preferred. 2-5 years minimum related experience
required. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
