Duties and Responsibilities for the Manager Strategic IT Procurement:
The primary function of this role is to drive financial savings bottom line
through the strategic sourcing process.
Conducts procurement total cost modeling and business case analysis for
stakeholders to determine the most effective value for the company. Reviews
contractual documents and ensures all contract language is clear and
unambiguous. Ensures the terms and conditions adhere to ALLTEL's requirements
and policies. Identifies and evaluates contract risks.
Responsible for implementing and executing the contract
management/sourcing/procurement process throughout the company.
For select projects, this position will work closely with IT and various
business owners as well as other functional areas (e.g., Finance, Legal, Tax,
Audit, etc.) to guide teams through the strategic sourcing process to include:
requirements identification, sourcing and selecting potential vendors,
developing RFPs, weighting and grading of responses, driving negotiations that
result in a final agreement, and establishing appropriate supplier performance
and contract management processes.
Manages assigned suppliers including renewal of agreements, tracking supplier
performance, tracking contract compliance, and handling day-to-day issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate Must Have :
* Candidates must be able to understand licensing and maintenance contract
strategies for computer hardware, software, and services contracts.
* Must have solid, comprehensive working knowledge of current IT Security
technologies including hardware, networks, communications and general software
(operating systems, productivity suites, etc.)
* General knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing and logistics.
* Strong negotiating and project management skills.
* At least 4 years of professional level experience must be directly
related experience in procurement and contract management.
Additional Information :
Candidate must have at least 8 years of professional related experience.
