Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-07-10
Our client, a well-established, award winning, publicly traded, web security
solutions provider currently has an opportunity for a Senior Security Sales
Engineer for their northwest sales territory.
Responsibilities include working closely with the Key Sales Executive on a pre
and post-sales basis to accomplish territory revenue goals.
Conduct technical presentations and product reviews, and provide support for
trade shows, beta management and technical training.
Travel is within the sales territory of Washington, Oregon and Colorado.
Therefore, it is preferred that you reside in one of these states.
Talent and Skills:
• Be familiar with current trends in the security space: new products &
technologies methodologies for security design and architecture regulatory and
compliance implications for businesses.
• Have very strong security product experience across common server
platform types.
• Enterprise networking experience: familiar with general network design
and traffic management issues
• Outstanding presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work without frequent direct supervision.
• Successes and references strongly desired
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
• Experience working with VPN solutions and understanding of End Point
Encryption algorithms and Certificate Storage and tunneling protocols.
• End Point Security, Security Agent, Host/Network Intrusion Detection,
Pix Firewall, Self Defending Network and Threat Defense System products.
Professional Training and Education:
A BS, EE/CS degree or technical school certificate.
Security certifications, either generalist or vendor-specific are strongly
desired.
