Business Development Manager, Windows Rights Management Services (RMS),
Rights Management Services is an exciting new information protection technology
platform for enterprises that provides capabilities that protects against
leakage of sensitive internal information such as intellectual property. We are
looking for a motivated, customer-focused, and dynamic individual who is
passionate about delivering solutions and value to our customers.
Responsibilities
Are you passionate about working with a broad array of major industry players
all the way to the CxO level? Do you want to be part of a team at the center of
one of Microsoft’s most important innovations? Is pioneering new business
opportunities in your career path? If you answered yes to these questions, we
are looking for you.
As business development manager, you will shape and execute the partner
ecosystem strategy for RMS. You will develop industry partnerships to build
solutions and services around the RMS platform that deliver clear value to
customers. You will be responsible for engaging with Microsoft’s system
integrator partners to drive adoption and revenue of RMS through broad service
offerings. He/she will additionally be responsible for translating marketing
plans into scenario driven plans for engagement with Microsoft’s broad
landscape of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Your success will depend on your ability to work with and influence virtual
teams across the marketing and engineering organizations. You must be action
and detail oriented with experience in business development and marketing with
demonstrated success in working with cross-organizational teams to achieve
superior results. The ability to multi-task and manage projects under pressure
along with persistence, commitment, passion and optimism for this work is
essential. Ability to appropriately deal with ambiguity is a vital skill for
this role.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
The candidate is knowledgeable and passionate about security technologies.
He/she should have at least 5-6 years of experience in product marketing,
business or technical consulting, solutions marketing, partner management or
business development. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable speaking in
front of public audiences as well as engaging with industry executives. He/she
will coordinate a virtual team to deliver against business goals and drive
cross-team initiatives. He/She needs to have strong negotiation skills, and
must be capable of driving a strategy through execution to success. He/she
needs to have excellent interpersonal skills, and work easily with customers,
partners, and internal Microsoft teams. He/she needs to have strong
communication skills, and can present and articulate ideas in various levels of
complexities to different audiences. BS/BA required MBA a strongly desired.
Candidates should expect approximately 25% travel to be included
