This position requires a skilled Java developer in the Windows environment with Swing and other user interface packages. This knowledge will be used to create firewall management software that looks and feels the same regardless of whether it is running in the Windows environment or the Web environment. These skills will be used to best take advantage of the capabilities of each environment while letting the user easily switch between either one. Distinguishing Characteristics: This position requires a team player that demonstrates strong leadership skills and independent problem solving to produce top quality software in a fast-paced environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- BS in EE/CS or equivalent experience required. MS preferred. - 10 years of commercial grade software development experience in user interfaces for local/remote management of embedded appliances. - Minimum 4 years experience in Java, (or J2ME, J2EE) and Swing development. - Experience in networking technologies, such as XML-RPC, SOAP, TCP/IP, IPSec tunneling, PPTP, SSL, packet filtering, firewalls and other network security technologies is highly desirable. - Experience with other software development languages, such as Python and C++ is also desirable.
