Salary: $55-$75K

He/she is responsible for safeguarding the confidential information, assets and 
intellectual property, which belong to or are processed by the company.  He/she 
is responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying information systems 
security auditing, reporting and timely documentation detailing 
system(s)/network security vulnerabilities.  He/She will execute security 
audits and scans and compile comprehensive reports directly related to 
customers specific risk plan, business plan and content.  Interfaces directly 
with customers to meet and exceed security-auditing and remediation 
requirements.  

The primary activities of this position are to coordinate system security scans 
and audits to ensure confidentiality and integrity of customer assets.  Review 
and analyze configurations, modifications, and application vulnerabilities 
defined via security auditing tools.  Coordinate the development of customer 
security auditing reports and processes.   Evaluate and test the most modern 
technical security auditing equipment and devices, ultimately identifying 
products that meet the business risk-cost analysis budget and provide the 
highest levels of logical security.  Identify vulnerable system areas  
recommend corrections to faulty configurations.  Discover and provide detailed 
reporting pertaining to identify systems weaknesses, including recommended 
remediation steps for risk mitigation.  Pending business, systems changes, 
reevaluate auditing scans, processes ensuring adequate security access levels 
without interruption of business practices or impacting missions.  Assist de
 partments in documenting work procedures, violations and security risks.  
Write user and operations manuals (SOPs) for in-house security applications.  
Generate and distribute professional periodic security updates.  Monitor, 
maintain and reporting of all deployed security audits and scans and 
remediation activities. Develop, maintain, update and coordinate life cycle of 
systems security files.    Upgrade systems auditing needs as required to ensure 
security detection devices and equipment are performing appropriately.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Bachelor’s degree in computer science complemented by industry 
certification relating directly to info security preferred or equivalent of 4 
plus years experience in network, systems, enterprise security.  Minimum of 
four years experience in systems administration environment  experience with 
security access devices, system/network surveillance monitoring, database 
management, policy development, physical security design, planning and training 
desired. Windows/Unix administration, the Internet and TCP/IP, protocol 
encryption services, scanning software, and intrusion detection devices.  Must 
have working knowledge of PC operations and exposure to programming. Ability to 
relate to a broad range of applications, skill levels and systems processes.  
Strong oral and written communicative skills, including organization and 
delivery of presentation materials to individuals and groups.  Expertise with 
documentation and authoring security policy, plans, auditing analysis, compar
 ative and corrective reporting and standard operating procedures desired.
