Position: Quality Assurance
Location: San Francisco, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 06/23/2005
Responsibilities
• Develop test plans and test cases from product requirement documents,
functional specifications, design documents, use cases, and other information
sources
• Plan and implement test scripts and automation
• Execute both automated and manual test cases, analyze results, and
report defects
• Track issues through resolution
• Communicate progress and quality status effecitvely both verbally and in
written form.
• Contribute to product direction and assist in making the product testable
• Provide information to support, services, and product management
regarding product quality, best practices, and general technical assistance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
• Minimum 3 years experience in QA for business applications
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (both black box
and white box), strong problem-solving skills, and ability to learn new
technologies quickly
• Experience with automated testing tools ability to create automated
tests
• Independent, takes ownership, self-starter
• Experience creating test plans from functional requirements
• Experience testing client-server applications
• Excellent communictaions skills, both writen and verbal: ability to
communicate risks, status, issues across teams
• Exposure to Security Enterprise Managament issues a plus
• BA/BS in technical or related field
Desired skills
• Experience with Linux, networking, sys-admin log collection activities
• bash, perl, junit, SQL, C++, SilkTest
• SIM experience or security related experience a plus
