Position: Security Engineer
Location: New York, New York, US
Type: Permanent F/T

Compensation Range: $100K to $130K
Position Description: Security professional responsible for the security of
IIG’s internal workstation and server infrastructure. The Platform
Security team is responsible for secure configuration, deployment, and
operation of all workstations and servers deployed within IIG. They are
responsible for analyzing system vulnerabilities and monitoring patch
deployment. The team is also responsible for anti-virus software, the analyis
of new viruses and worms and the depoloyment of new AV definitions. The team is
also responsible for incident response, forensics analysis, SPAM controls,
encryption technologies and Host-based IDS/IPS.
Individual will also be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and providing
business cases for the integration of new platform security technologies, test
methodologies and training. Will work as part of small Platform Security team
and coordinate with Platform Engineering, Operations and Deployment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: BS in technical field is preferred MS desirable
Skills Required: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows platforms. Knowledge
of Microsoft security inititiatives and Microsoft security directions. At least
five years experience with the management, architecture and security of a large
corporate Windows environment is required. Knowledge of recent security
vulnerabilities and hacking methodologies is essential. Knowledge of forensics
tools such as EnCase is desired. Experience with secure builds of desktop and
server OS and enterprise products like SQL and IIS is required. Knowledge
anti-virus technology is desired. Working knowledge of network protocols and
LDAP / Active Directory is required.Understanding of host IDS/IPS technology is
desired. Good communications skills, both spoken and written, are required.
Candidate must be capable of making presentations to senior management.
Candidate must be enthusiastic/passionate, hard-working, and self-directing.
