This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of applications from formal requirements and architectural specifications to delivery of commercial grade applications. The process includes developing proof-of-concept prototypes through production quality code. Cyber Security is one of the most challenging and exciting work environments in the Laboratory. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Level 4: A Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years experience or a Master's degree with 5 years experience or a Ph.D. with 3 years is required. Must be a technical expert who selects and widely applies principles, theories and concepts in a major field of specialization. Level 5: A Bachelor's degree with 9 years experience or a Master's degree with 7 years experience or a Ph.D. with 5 years experience is required. Must have a national or international authority. Applying intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific or engineering principles in broad areas of assignments and related fields. An extensive publication list is required. An MS degree is preferred in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering disciplines. Other engineering or math degrees will be considered for exceptional candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with cyber security experience and/or certification in one or more of the following: 1.) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) 2.) SANS Global Incident Analysis Center (GIAC) certification 3.) Certified Information Systems Auditor 4.)
