Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Seattle, Washington, US
Type: Permanent F/T

The Senior Application Security Consultant is a thought leader in their field
of choice, who is chosen for their relentless pursuit of knowledge, and
dedication to personal and professional growth. They provide the backbone for
the delivery of application and infrastructure security assessments for
clients. They bring to the role of Application Security Consultant the ability
to perform full scope Risk Management analysis, to include Technical
Assessments and Risk Assessments. They have a strong understanding of how to
apply the principles of Information Security in a variety of circumstances
while developing and maintaining strong client and team relationships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Use your proven communication skills to prepare written reports at the
engineering, manager and executive level
• Showcase your organization, coordination and engagement planning skills
to ensure that products/deliverables meet contract/work plan
• Lend your excellent understanding of how to build strong relationships
with client’s by exceeding expectations and requirements
• Put your analytical mind to use assessing clients online commerce
readiness and provide appropriate security assistance
• Empathize with client engagement’s as it relates to clients
business
• Know how to recognize and communicate opportunities to further assist
clients with any additional security needs
• Understand and develop a positive team attitude
• Some travel required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Understanding of operating system and application security
configuration and best practices in NT/Windows and UNIX environment
• Experience in Application Penetration Testing
• Vulnerability assessment host, network and application levels
• Knowledge of available Information Security resources, common security
issues, risks and means of alleviating them
• Code Auditing Experience
• Ability to understand N Tier application architecture as it relates to
security
• Knowledge of multiple languages C/C++, C#, Java
• Knowledge of configuration and administration of MSSQL and Oracle
• Thorough understanding of HTTP
• Thorough understanding of SSL/PKI and related encryption technologies
n Apply information security principles techniques and standards for
network operating systems
n Demonstrate knowledge in some areas of industry or functional specialty
n Certification in CISSP, GSEC a plus
Required Skills: A minimum of 3 years related programming experience and 4
years as a Security Consultant or related field, with demonstrated ability in
the below functions:
n C/C++, C#, Java
n OO Development/design
n Web technologies (HTTP, HTML, Java Script, etc)
n Database skills
n Attack and penetration testing
n Understanding of security concepts in software development
n Basic understanding of crypto/secure protocols
n Familiar with authentication and authorization systems
n Strong debugging skills
n Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n Excellent customer and team skills
