Position: Security Consultant
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, US
Type: Permanent F/T

NetSPI is an information security services provider focused on helping
organizations manage risk through the development of effective enterprise
security programs. We are looking for a Project Leader to join our security
assessment services group.
The Project Leader is responsible for leading projects within the NetSPI
security services delivery group. The security services group is responsible
for assessing the security posture of organizations. Responsibilities include
defining project requirements and scope, acting as the project manager,
managing customer relations, and managing assessment teams. A core focus of
this position is to lead security / technology risk assessments for customers.
The Project Leader is NetSPI's primary technical interface with the clients for
large-scale security / technology risk projects.
Daily activities include:
• Managing comprehensive security / technology risk projects
• Creating and updating project documentation
• Leading projects to ensure quality and timeliness
• Generating reports for management on use of existing resources and
identification of resources that will be required
• Participation in scope, resource and issue management
• Ensure cross team communication
• Assist in implementing technical and process best practices
• Develop and manage projects to budget
The Project Leader is also responsible for assisting with the development of
NetSPI's technology risk methodology and enterprise program vision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s or Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of consulting experience with complex projects in a corporate
setting
• Project management experience managing services based projects
• Security assessment experience
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with other
talented team members
• Security certifications and / or desire to earn security certifications
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Useful Areas of Knowledge - Not all of these are required but they will be
helpful in job execution:
• Network architecture & design - TCP/IP
• Information security
  o Standards – ISO 17799, CoBIT
  o Tools – Firewall, IDS, AAA, VPN, AV
  o Identity Management
  o Vulnerability Assessments
• Security Regulations in Compliance Legislation
  o Gramm-Leach-Bliley
  o Sarbanes Oxley
  o HIPAA
  o NRC
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
• Application Security
