Position: Security Consultant
Location: London + UK wide, , GB
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 06/09/2005
Experienced Security Consultants (10+ years experience)
- Provide security thought leadership for a Programme’s technical solution
- Ensure the delivered technical solution supports identified security, privacy
and safety requirements
- Responsible for directing the design, development and implementation of
technical security measures within a Programme
- Work with Customer Security Managers, Security Governance Architects,
Technical Architects, Solution Designers
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Security specialist
- Proven experience in developing security policies and processes
- Proven experience/participation in delivery of technical solutions
- Proven experience architecting multi-product security in complex, large user
population technical environments
- Understands possible alternative solutions to technical security and privacy
requirements, such as single sign-on, application access control, identity
management, digital signatures, audit, monitoring, network and platform
security,
- Understands cost, advantages and disadvantages of various alternatives
technical solutions
- Minimum 10 years IT experience, most of it in senior technical or consultant
positions
- Fast learner
- Good people and conflict resolution skills
- Programme delivery experience
- Awareness and understanding of risk analysis methods (e.g. CRAMM or HMG
Infosec 2), BS7799, ITIL, enterprise architecture methods (e.g. IAF, or
Zachman) and delivery methodologies e.g. RUP desirable.
- Awareness of Regulatory Compliance issues highly desirable
Person Profile:
- Ability to formulate security policy, process and management vision
- Experience with the BS7799 compliance/certification process
- Business Impact/Risk Analysis experience
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation affecting security, privacy and
systems assurance
- Experience with or awareness of enterprise architecture methods such as IAF,
or Zachman preferable
- Awareness of ITIL Security Management concepts
- Awareness of or experience with other IT Service Management disciplines
- Delivery or assurance experience in multi-sourced environments helpful
- Proven experience working in a Security Manager, Security or Governance
Architect role on a large scale project
- Good conflict resolution skills
