Consulting Analyst, Security Location: Cambridge, Mass., or Santa Clara, Calif. Description: The Consulting Analyst is a critical member of the IT Management research team. The team creates research and delivers consulting that analyzes the impact of technology on how CIOs effectively organize and manage their IT operations. Specifically, the Consulting Analyst will focus on security process, policy, and organization within those large IT organizations. The Consulting Analyst collaborates with other Analysts on the team to conduct primary and secondary research, answer client Inquiries, develop new products, and facilitate customized consulting programs for clients. The Consulting Analyst will write, speak, and advise clients about Forrester’s research that covers their designated markets by analyzing demand and supply trends, assessing technology and functionality in the context of client requirements, and helping with pricing negotiations and solution implementation best practices. In this position, the Consulting Analyst must maintain current knowledge of relevant vendors and software providers. Responsibilities: • Provide telephone and email Inquiry responses to queries placed by Forrester’s clients in the areas of online channel expertise. Advise clients by applying Forrester’s research to their specific business environment, applying our ideas to solve the problem. • Work with Security Benchmark service clients to define new metrics and to expand the service to other product areas and channels. • Prepare data files, graphics, presentations, and other relevant documentation for distribution to clients for advisory session or Web site reviews. • Develop research plans, set milestones, and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure research success. Conduct surveys and interviews analyze and document results. • Draft research documents in collaboration with Analysts and Research Directors. • Deliver consulting assignments, including presentations, written papers, and direct client interactions. • Collaborate with other Forrester research teams and external parties and partners to enhance and improve the timeliness and value of financial services. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Requirements: Forrester is looking for people who are inspired and inspiring.
