Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Chicago, Illinois, US
Type: Permanent F/T

Take your security and network engineering skills to the next level by working
with StillSecure’s award winning products in the fast paced network
security market. The StillSecure integrated product suite provides preventative
defense, enables compliance with regulatory information security policies, and
actively blocks network attacks. The StillSecure product suite is comprised of
Safe Access (endpoint compliance and security product), VAM (vulnerability
management platform) and Border Guard (IPS/IDS).
We seek qualified Security Engineers in the Chicago, Washington D.C., and
Denver areas who have demonstrated experience in intrusion detection,
firewalls, and vulnerability assessment utilizing open source and commercial
technologies. Security Engineers must possess detailed experience with Linux,
snort, nessus and nmap as well as strong IP networking skills.
The Sales Security Engineer position is responsible for working along with
StillSecure sales representatives presenting StillSecure products to
prospective customers, managing prospective customer product evaluations,
installing StillSecure products, and providing ongoing technical assistance to
current and prospective customers. Managing product evaluations includes
designing successful evaluation plans with customers, installing and tuning the
StillSecure network security products (using both Linux and web-based GUIs),
assisting customers with network design decisions, training customers on our
products and performing post-sale installations when a part of the sale.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:
• Excellent customer communication skills
• Extensive Linux system administration skills
• Extensive experience with iptables, snort, nessus, nmap and Linux
network utilities
• Extensive experience with security technologies include firewalls,
IDS/IPS, proxy servers, router configuration
• Experience as a sales engineer working with networking products
Responsibilities:
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the StillSecure product suite
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations about StillSecure
products
• Recommend installation and configuration options to meet customers needs
• Perform the technical pre-qualification of customers for product
evaluations
• Install, tune, provide hands on training during the customer trial
process
• Review product trial requirements and results with customers
• Perform post-sale installation when required
• Field technical questions and answers for customers during the sales
process
• Travel is required

Education/Work Experience Requirements
Bachelors or Masters degree in technical or discipline or commensurate work
experience
Networking and Security Training
On-the-job Network and OS administration experience (Cisco/Linux)
