Become a key leader of a progressive information security team for a company 
that is financially sound and growing. You will function as a senior staff 
member of the Information Security team responsible for managing a staff of 
full time employees and consultants with overall responsibility for 
implementing and supporting complex security systems, software programs and 
hardware devices which are used to provide protection to corporate networks, 
distributed architecture and client server systems. Your responsibilities will 
include developing appropriate network security architecture, network security 
management investigations, crisis response, maintaining anti-virus architecture 
and intrusion detection systems, project management of all security projects 
owned by the network security team, overseeing security assessments, staff 
management and development and information security program/policy development 
and management. Areas of specific focus may include: Network Security (f
 irewalls, IDS, routers, crypto, PKI, VPN, anti-virus software, Internet 
services), System Security (Microsoft NT/2000/AD, Netware/NDS, LDAP, Unix, 
workstation platforms, mail servers), Database System Security (Microsoft SQL 
Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2), Internet Security (Microsoft IIS, Apache, web 
services and applications, CGI, Java, SSL, XML, Soap), Communications Security 
/ Remote Access Services (RAS, ACE Server, VPN, Advantis, Bluezone).


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work 
experience. A minimum of 10 to 12 years progressive experience working in 
Information Technology with at least 8 years of direct, hands on experience in 
network security, including implementation of firewalls, intrusion detection 
systems, cryptography, and web security services and products. A minimum of 4 
years staff management, supervisor or team lead experience is required. Must 
have experience developing and mentoring junior staff, conducting performance 
reviews and developing staff training programs. A minimum of 4 years experience 
conducting security reviews, risk assessments and network vulnerability or 
penetration analysis studies. The ability to clearly document and present 
findings as well as improvement opportunities. Must be familiar with UNIX, 
Microsoft and Netware server security requirements, including auditing, 
security management and OS hardening techniques. Must have proven project m
 anagement and project leadership skills, experience with SDLC as it applies to 
Information Security, understand information security concepts, protocols, 
industry best practices and strategies. Experience writing and developing 
policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Excellent oral, written and 
interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate 
effectively with project and application development teams, management and 
clients is a must. Must have business experience, understand business drivers 
and be able to translate business needs into workable project plans. 
Leadership, analytical, teamwork, organization and time management skills are 
critical. Must be focused, energetic, meet commitments, be willing to take 
ownership, have excellent judgment and integrity. The ability to manage 
multiple projects, priorities and people while ensuring strategic focus is 
maintained in order to accomplish department goals and business objectives is

Preferred Requirements include either a CISSP or GIAC GSEC Certification. CPP 
(ASIS Certified Protection Professional) certification desired, but not
