The Security and Technology Solutions (STS) practice evolved as a key component
of our Technology, Security and Risk Services (TSRS). Our security services
provide the building blocks for a secured and protected business environment.
Employing state-of-the-art technology, experienced teams of Ernst & Young
security professionals deliver enterprise security solutions enabling our
clients to take advantage of the emerging electronic economy in a secure
manner. STS professionals at Ernst & Young have extensive experience with
information security protection, system security planning, information security
assessments and implementation, security program development and strategic
technology planning. These services help companies validate their
infrastructures, design and implement business processes and technology
solutions, address regulations and educate and train management and employees.
We are currently seeking a Manager who will be responsible for leading projects
or elements of multiple client engagements including service delivery and sales
generation along with other related activities in the Security and Technology
Solutions practice. This professional will manage engagement teams and provide
technical leadership in the design and implementation of complete IT risk
reduction approach addressing such areas as Intrusion and Virus Detection,
Incident Response, Privacy, Asset Management, Physical Security, Policies,
Standards and Guidelines. The successful candidate will work with client
personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems to develop and
improve security at both a procedural and technology level.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
Work with the team and the client to create plans for accomplishing engagement
objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and
addresses the risks inherent in the engagement. Brief the team on the client's
IT environment and industry IT trends. Maintain relationships with client
management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing,
and the value to be delivered.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and apply
it to client situations. Use extensive knowledge of the client's
business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts
on the client's business.
Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and
responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology/tools
to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
Understand E&Y and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can
deliver to bring value to clients. Generate new business opportunities by
developing ideas and solutions for client presentation.
Requirements:
To qualify for this highly visible position with excellent career advancement
potential for the right professional, candidates must have:
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Engineering or related major
-5 years experience in the use of tools and techniques for intrusion and virus
detection, developing effective incident response programs, addressing complex
privacy issues, and developing security policy management programs
- Business Development Experience
-experience with database process definition/mapping, networking (TCPIP, OSI
Model), operating system fundamentals (Windows NT, XP, Unix), security tools
(scanners, audit and forensic tools), programming (C or Java) and scripting
languages (Perl, Shell) and firewalls and IDS both concepts and products
-experience in information technology strategy, planning, implementation,
information security program development and administration, security
architecture design and technology assessment
-advanced written and verbal communication skills
-excellent leadership and teaming skills
-demonstrated integrity in a professional environment
-demonstrated ability to perform consulting assignments, lead projects,
participate in and/or lead sales pursuits
Candidates must hold or be actively pursuing related professional
certifications such as CISSP
Ability to travel extensively
Valid US Drivers License
