System/Information Security Engineer
SUMMARY
The Information Security Engineer coordinates, plans, and organizes information
security activities at Citrix Online. He or she facilitates communication and
all activities related to information security, among Citrix Online associates
and third parties. Information Security Engineer works with a wide variety of
people from different internal organizational units to implement controls that
reflect workable compromises weighing all business needs against current and
future information security risks. In addition, the Information Security
Engineer is responsible for firewall management, IDS management and any other
security control management process necessary to protect Citrix Online's
information from un-authorized personnel. The Information Security Engineer
will ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and regulations.
This position serves as an individual contributor, advisor, and project leader
for security projects within Web Operations team.
Conceptual development of responses to present and potential security
threats
• Project management of security projects
• Writing specifications for security projects
• Implementation of security projects
• Dissemination of conclusions from research into security issues
• Participation in security standards activities
Candidate must be able to properly analyze emerging encryption and
authentication algorithms in light of theft of service, denial of service, and
media privacy scenarios in determining what standards are best for particular
situations.
Experience with VPN tunnels, Kerberos, and / or IPSec a plus.
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification is
highly desirable.
The Senior Security Engineer must have strong communication skills, the ability
to learn new technology quickly, and the ability to communicate highly
technical material in simple terms.
Travel as needed. Not expected to exceed 10%.
