Position:       Security System Administrator
Location:       New York, New York, US
Type:           Permanent F/T

·Develop and maintain a system security plan for the all applications 
and support systems within the company and its sub-division including business 
continuity, testing, vulnerability analysis and risk mitigation activities.  
Work closely with Corporate IT Security Architect for implementation and 
administration of the security processes and systems.
·Responsible for the development, design, evaluation, definition, 
implementation, and integration of security methods and initiatives to support 
specific architecture or platform technology including, but not limited to 
mainframe, servers, and LAN/WAN networks. 
·Oversee and provide design assistance for firewall, IDS and anti-virus 
systems corporate wide 
·Create and enforce information security policies and perform system 
security training and awareness activities for the policies.
·Investigates and recommends appropriate corrective actions for data 
security incidents including effective communication with the implementation 
staff responsible for taking corrective actions.
·Perform annual self-assessment of current infrastructure and identify 
gaps between existing procedures, policies, and industry standards/best 
practices.
·Primarily responsible for all technical aspects of local Computer 
Emerge ncy Response Team (CERT) operations including intrusion detection, new 
incident tracking, documentation, analytical investigation, problem closure and 
future security configuration threat countermeasures.
·Oversee activities relating to HIPAA security requirements and ongoing 
compliance with internal and external audits by various regulatory agencies.
·Generate and manage corrective action plans as necessary based on 
self-assessment results.
·Effectively utilize information security tools to perform risk 
analyses, vulnerability analyses, intrusion detection monitoring, response 
analyses, event correlation and intrusion detection. 
·Oversee activities relating to HIPAA security requirements and ongoing 
compliance.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or 
related field or equivalent experience.
·5 or more years of experience in network engineering, TCP/IP, security 
& firewall administration, IDS, DMZ architecture.  
·Experience with diverse operating systems (mainframe, LAN/WAN, web, 
data networks, and NT. 
·Knowledge of mainframe security product preferred.
·Health care experience with specific HIPAA expertise in a security role 
preferred.
·Familiar with appropriate security architectures including real time 
intrusion detection, firewalls, routers, and intruder detection breech patterns 
with strong knowledge of information security concepts and principles.
·Strong oral and written communication skills required. 
·Strong technical background and certifications in one or more of the 
following areas is preferred: CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MCSE.
