We are looking for individuals who: -Have made significant contributions on substantial projects with actual consumers - either commercial software or established open-source projects. -Are extremely prolific. You regularly produce high quality solutions in significantly less time than your colleagues. -Really enjoy developing software. We prefer candidates who enjoy programming so much that it's their hobby, as well as their job. Tell us about your contributions to open source projects. -Are good, disciplined team players. We're looking for people who have worked on teams to execute a plan and deliver the goods on time. Since we're a real company, we also expect you to be willing to work hard on less interesting projects as well as the intellectually challenging tasks. -Are intelligent. We want people who go after, and come up with, interesting solutions for hard problems. You can contribute to the design and architecture of the system, and not just be a code janitor. -You should have a solid understanding of TCP/IP and significant experience with Unix/Linux network programming. Operational experience doing network or security management world be valuable. For our service provider product line - we would also like to see experience with routing (particularly BGP) and knowledge of internet service provider practices. For our enterprise product line, we would also like to see some experience in traffic analysis and 'operational* security knowledge (as opposed to academic). The primary development technologies used at Arbor include C, Python, PHP, Java script/DHTML and Postgres. You should have world-class expertise in a least one of these and demonstrated ability to master the others.
