Position: Quality Assurance
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 05/18/2005
Epitomize the 'First Customer' and evaluate the overall quality of our
network-wide anomaly detection solutions. Execute manual and automated test
cases for new and existing software applications. Develop test scripts and
frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and
impenetrability. Construct complex tests employing our test lab environments.
Required Skills
-Manual and automated QA/testing experience
-Experience creating test plans/manual test cases.
-Experience testing complex web applications.
-Expertise in scripting languages such as Tcl and Python.
-Expertise in fundamental networking concepts and protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, IP)
-Experience in one or more of the following:
-Routing concepts and protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP)
-Basic security concepts and tools (firewalls, IDS)
-Network management, intrusion detection, and traffic analysis skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
-Experience with automated UI test tools (WinRunner, Robot, RobotJ)
-Experience developing traffic generation and network simulation tools.
-Experience testing network security applications (IDS, Firewall, IPS,
Vulnerability Scanners).
-Basic security concepts and tools (firewalls, IDS)
-Networks management, intrusion detection, and traffic analysis skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
-5+ years of commercial QA/testing, network operation or software development
experience.
-BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or
equivalent.
