Our client, a leading telecommunications company is looking for an experienced 
security engineer to join Information Security team. 

The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of network 
intrusion detection and prevention, firewall configuration and monitoring, 
analyzing virus and worm signatures, and data forensics.  As a member of the 
InfoSec team, the Senior Security engineer will be responsible for 
investigating, tracking and resolving security incidents that have occurred 
within the corporate network, such as tracking down rogue DHCP servers, 
investigating hack attempts from or to corporate computers, and ensuring 
InfoSec policy compliance.  You will be working closely with our systems and 
network engineers in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include the following:

•  Help define overall security strategies and procedures.
•  Review and monitor firewall, router, and system logs, and investigate 
anomalous trends as needed.
•  Define and refine firewall policies.
•  Develop and implement network intrusion detection strategies.
•  Work with the rest of the InfoSec team to monitor our networks and 
ensure 24/7 security.
•  Perform security reviews and audits and assist engineers by reviewing 
designs for security issues.
•  Evaluate new and emerging products and technologies.
•  Evangelize security within company




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
•  BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
•  Prefer professional certification such as CISSP.
•  5+ years experience in an information/network security role at 
companies with large networks.
•  Strong background in system or network administration.
•  Knowledge of, and experience implementing, multi-factor / strong 
authentication technologies in heterogeneous environments.
•  Familiarity with security technologies and issues on both Unix and 
Windows such as:
o       Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing 
o       Lower-layer (Layer 2 and Layer 3) protocol security 
o       Application layer protocol security (e.g., proxies, reverse proxies, 
SFTP, ssh)
o       Anti-virus tools 
o       Anti-spam tools 
•  Strong Perl or other scripting skills.
•  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
