Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: South West Kansas, Kansas, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 05/14/2005
Duties:
*Conducts security certifications of IT systems, including Threat Risk
Assessments (TRA), intrusion tests, review of systems configurations, and
evaluation of security procedures.
* Develop and implement security solutions
* Report security findings to Executive Management
* Negotiate and evaluate vendor products and solutions
* Design, administer, and troubleshoot firewall, DMZ, and internet connectivity
systems, for example, intrusion detection system, network address schemes,
virtual LANs, firewall hardware configurations, virtual private network (VPN),
and point-to-point and client VPNs
* Use network management software to monitor internet/firewall performance,
detect and report unauthorized/failed system access, and aid in capacity
planning
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
* 5 to 10 years professional IT experience, with 3+ years in IT security. CISSP
certification. Hands-on experience in intrusion testing.
*Thorough knowledge of disaster recovery concepts and procedures for field of
Information Security
* Thorough knowledge of network LAN/WAN hardware configuration, for example,
routers and switches, channel signal units (CSU), digital signal unit (DSU),
and remote access servers
* Thorough knowledge of internet/firewall monitoring and security concepts and
configurations to ensure efficient and secure firewall operation
* Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or a closely related field or
additional professional experience.
Certification / Training:
Strong preference for one or more of the following certifications:
CISSP - ISC2 Certified Information Systems Professional
SSCP - ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner
Any combination of the SANS certifications.
CISCO Certifications
Microsoft Certifications
Unix Certs
