Position: Security Architect
Location: London, , GB
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 04/15/2005
You will have proven expert skills in specifying and deploying IT security
solutions and policy that span IT systems and Networks. You will have an
excellent understanding of the security marketplace and experience of working
with major corporate clients.
You will be a subject mater design authority on risk analysis, content security
and identity management and are able to review and design business continuity
process.
You will understand the risks and regulations concerning privacy and the use
and access to personal data and the growing legal regulations for more
effective risk management.
You will be able to analyse, design, document and present security solutions
that address our corporate clients business problems in line with BS7799
To undertake complex consultancy and design work, which may include technical
business process reengineering and strategic technical analysis in the subject
of Security.
To lead customer workshop activities necessary to understand existing and
future business requirements and to gain understanding of existing
infrastructures
To undertake or lead design, technical planning, specification of architecture
and development of deliverables.
Will have a strong customer focus, performing pre-sales work when necessary.
Work with the country portfolio mangers, providing feedback to help them drive
the development of the global offers for best fit with the UK market.
Work with local and global practices to identify and develop business partners.
To keep up to date with latest relevant architecture and technology trends and
fully understand the Microsoft , Cisco and other leading security solutions
Experience of targeting the financial or retail sector would be desirable.

• Trade Events
The Solutions architect will typically split their time between project based
work (75%), and presales activity and offer development (25%).
The jobholder is required to work under the general direction of the
Professional Services Manager with minimal supervision
You will be expected to work at the Organisations offices and customer sites,
as dictated by the needs of the business or project. Additionally this may
require you to work away from home for limited periods.
You may be required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably
required of you, duties may not be specific to your job family group or level.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
• Educated to degree level, preferably with a technical IT discipline.
• Technical qualifications in a Microsoft and or Cisco environment
• A leading Security accreditation
Experience-essential
• Typically has had at least 8 years in the Information or Communication
Industry
• At least 3 years experience of security architectural design within the
corporate marketplace with major clients.
• Demonstrable experience in leading multifunctional teams in the
development of Infrastructure designs
• Has proven experience of creating and developing a customer focused
team culture with demonstrable productivity improvements.
• Commercial awareness of delivering with fixed price and T&M contract
constraints
• Integration of third party suppliers products and services
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment with day-to-day
interaction with clients.
• Practical experience of the presales life cycle
