Position: Security Engineer
Location: RTP, North Carolina, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 04/23/2005
The Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for supporting the ADS
network infrastructure. This includes maintaining a Cisco switched network,
monitoring network security and performance. Additionally, responsible for
improving the overall network security by deploying cost effective
hardware/software solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
-Must have industry-based development experience and solid knowledge in packet
level details of Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, and ICMP protocols, layer 7 TCP/IP
application protocols (Telnet, SSH, HTTP, FTP, STFP, TFTP), libpcap based
sniffers (TCPDUMP, Ethereal, net monitor, network general, etc.).
-Must have at least 3 years industry experience as a network engineer to
include implementation and designing of network infrastructures.
-Must have strong knowledge of Cisco Network devices (PIX, Switches, Routers,
Security Appliances) and Microsoft servers.
-Prefer experience in security-focused software products (vulnerability
assessment systems, traffic sniffers, port scanners, etc.)
-Prefer experience in deploying: Host Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network
Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Web and Gateway Filtering Solutions,
VPN Solutions, and Encrypted Data Exchange Solutions (PGP, Secure Emails, etc.).
-Platform Knowledge: Windows, Cisco, and also preferably Linux, Solaris, and
other flavors of Unix.
-Strong verbal and written communications skills, excellent time management
-Must be a good team player with a proven ability in problem-analysis and
problem-solving
-CISSP, CCNP, MCSE a plus.
