Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 04/21/2005
Independently design, develop, and debug advanced networking security features.
Requires B.A. or B.S. in computer science, 4+ years of C programming
experience, and 2+ years of experience in TCP/IP networking programming.
In-depth experience with Layer 3 through Layer 7 network-based services
required. In-depth experience with application protocols such as HTTP, SMTP,
IMAP, POP3, and FTP required.
Clear understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking security required.
Detailed knowledge of TCP, HTTP, and e-mail protocol required.
Hands-on experience in antivirus or URL filtering development is a strong plus.
Experience in Layer 7 protocol decoding is a strong plus.
Experience in development of security products such as Web firewalls, antivirus
applications, and intrusion detection applications is a big plus.
Must be a team player with strong communication skills.
