Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Edinburgh, , GB
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 04/23/2005
The purpose of this role is to minimise the risk and impact of information
security threats and vulnerabilities within the Group by developing and
managing the relationship between the Information Security Team and other parts
of the group.
Scope
• Promotion of the group security policy, standards and practices within
individual business divisions
• Develop mutually beneficial relationships with other parts of the group
• Provide a focus for security initiatives and issues within individual
business divisions
• Provide an interface between the Information Security team and
individual business divisions on all security related matters
• Facilitate GIS resources on individual business division initiatives
• Act as a channel to the businesses for the Information Security Team
• Articulate and define individual business divisions’ security
requirements for inclusion in divisional and group plans
• Assist businesses with information security management structures,
reporting and processes
• Liase with other information security groups within the Group
• Provide group wide security web services, awareness and training.
• Provide a single point of contact for all Information Security services
• Manage a multidiscipline team
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
At least 10 years experience of working in Information Security
Held a senior information security management position in a large organisation
Experience of managing relationships with customers at senior management or
executive level
Capable of representing the Group effectively at a senior level in Industry
forums and to represent and deputise for the Head of Information Security as
required.
A pragmatic approach to resolving issues
Proven track record of managing multidiscipline teams
Although not essential, holding a recognised professionally qualification is
highly desirable.
