Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 04/21/2005
This is a hands-on position to drive and develop and execute best of breed
platform testing methodologies.
Responsibilities include
- interfacing with product developers to participate in early SW and HW
design for testability. –
- Primary tasks will be developing an automated white box system testing
(testing via detailed knowledge of the platform), creation of detailed test
plans and the execution of stress, scale, and soak test suites.
The candidate should have detailed experience in system verification and
automation tasks.
Primary focus will be for security products (stateful firewall, NAT, IDS/IDP,
IPSEC) with emphasis on IPv4/IPv6 routers, Ethernet, DS1/DS3, ADSL, ISDN, PPP,
and SONET WAN technologies.
The candidate should have solid knowledge in Perl, Tcl/TK, Expect, shell
scripting language, C / C++, CVS, UNIX (Linux and FreeBSD), with the ability to
automate test suites.
Hands-on experience with test tools such as Agilent RouterTester, Spirent
Smartbits, Adtech, and WebAvalanche, or Ixia is a requirement.
Must have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 8 years of
work experience in testing and automation.
