Position: Security Engineer
Location: Schaumburg, Illinois, US
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 04/20/2005
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations Key responsibilities include:
*Monitor each customer’s Intrusion Detection Systems, firewalls,
anti-virus systems, and other managed security components.
*Respond to incidents and customer requests.
*Maintain patch/update standards for all systems in the customer environment.
Deploy and verify patches to systems once they have been tested.
*Act as a primary interface to our customers if they call into the SOC for
security-related issues.
*Analyze all practices/procedures currently in place, and suggest improvements
to both technologies and practices used in the SOC.
*Assist with post-mortem analysis when security breaches occur.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific Knowledge/Skills JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* 1- 3 years experience with security (security monitoring preferred)
* Basic understanding of information security concepts
* Experience with intrusion detection systems
* Excellent analytical skills
SANS Security and CISSP certifications are desirable.
