Position: Quality Assurance
Location: San Francisco, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 04/17/2005
• Directly participate in test plan development, QA automation software
development, and test plan execution, results analysis, root cause
identification, and reporting to ensure the quality of the product.
• Log bugs in our defect-tracking database and communicate with our
developers as needed to resolve problems.
• Participate in project meetings
• Use analytical and problem solving skills to contribute to the quality
of the product.
• Works independently and within engineering practices to evaluate,
maintain, modify, and enhance existing quality methods & processes
• Mentoring/educating other QA members on networking and security
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have at least 5 years experience as a Software Test and Quality
Assurance Engineer in software or network hardware companies.
• Must have full lifecycle experience, from product requirements
refinement to final shipping software product for an enterprise-class product
company.
• Must have industry experience in testing distributed systems
• Must have experience in QA test automation
• Must have experience in computer programming, scripting and software
development (e.g., Perl, Java, C++)
• Strongly prefer experience in testing network-focused or
security-focused software (NMS systems, vulnerability assessment systems,
traffic sniffers, port scanners, SNMP consoles, etc.)
• Must have Platform Knowledge:, Linux, BSD, Solaris, and other flavors
of Unix, and Windows
• Prefer experience in one or more of the following: relational database,
XML, CVS, SilkTest, WinRunner
• Must have strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Must have a strong sense of process, detail and follow through
• Must have a strong set of problem solving and analytical skills
• Must have excellent time management
Education Requirements:
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent discipline
is a strong preference.
• MS in Computer Science or related field a plus
