The Security Technology/Software Development Engineering Manager will be
responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and communication of all
activities related to Security Technology engineering in the Security
Technologies and Development Division of Avaya. In this role, he/she will have
the responsibility to provide strategic, tactical, and functional analysis and
direction relative to all engineering functions In addition, provides technical
leadership for staff and work teams or task forces. Establishes short and
mid-term work plans and optimizes resources to ensure that work area objectives
are consistently met. The successful candidate will be responsible delivering
security technologies across current and future company’s products. The
position is responsible for a staff of approximately eight to ten technical
employees and will be responsible for working effectively with outside agencies
such as, NIST, cross company divisions, and potential OEM / ODMs
. Requirements Mandatory •Public Key infrastructure paradigms and
products. •Security encryption and authentication experience with AES,
3DES, 802.11e, IPSec, SSL/TLS, SRTP, IKE, ISAKMP, DH, including key management.
•Past hands on development experience with OS kernel development with at
least one type of LINUX or embedded VXWorks. •Past hands on development
experience with C and C++. •Direct TCP/IP networking protocol experience
as past developer or manager. •Past organization management of a team
involved with OS kernel and TCP/IP networking using C or C++ tools.
•Diversified tactical management experience including styles of influence,
methods of delegation, conflict management, budgetary, and performance
management. •Must be hands on Project Manager, but not a programmer.
•Must be able to work with little or no supervision and have
self-initiative. •Must be multidimensional in organizational management
and deliveries. De
sired •Broad multimedia protocol experience for H.323 and SIP either as a
developer or manager. •Detailed experience with security products and
protocols including LAN and wireless LAN. •Detailed experience with
security of VoIP protocols. •Security certification processes such as FIPs
and Common Criteria. Other certifications such as ICSA and VPNC. •“On
the fly” deep packet inspection experience with the following: oIntrusion
Prevention Systems experience oStateful firewall experience oAnti-virus
experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BS in an applicable Engineering discipline (Computer Engineering or
Computer Science), or equivalent experience however attained advanced degree
preferred.
