Requires ability to demonstrate product, create proof of concept trials, and answer deeply technical questions about product use. Essential Job Duties: Describe product operation in great technical detail to customers and prospects. · Conduct product demonstrations to technical audiences. · Interact with individual contributors as well as VP and CxO level customer contacts. · Analyze customer environments and tailor the solution to fit their exact needs. · Address challenging situations by finding technical workarounds that still meet customer requirements. · Provide assistance with customer implementations and training. · Maintain relationships with key accounts. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Understanding of networked Windows and Unix environments gained from either experience as an administrator, pre-sales systems engineer, or a post-sales technical support engineer. · Minimum of 5 years of systems engineering experience, selling enterprise software solutions to mid-size to large companies · Working experience with at least 1 large software company (such as Oracle, Microsoft, etc) and 2 small software companies (i.e., startups). · Involvement in deals involving $100,000 or more in potential revenue. · Experience in the area of Windows and Unix security is a plus. · Ability to use scripting languages (PERL, Windows scripts, etc) is a plus. · MCSA, MCSE, or CISSP is also a plus. Education: Bachelors Degree in technical discipline required · Additional certificate/continue education training a plus.
