Computer Forensics Investigator

Are you looking to work for an organisation with a working laboratory and
equipment of the highest standard? In an environment that promotes the pursuit
of best practise and will be at the forefront of developments in the field of
computer forensics and digital evidence?
This leading Financial organisation are looking to recruit a digital evidence
forensic investigator to enhance their response to computer forensics and
digital evidence recovery. You will identify, collect and analyse digital
evidence whilst always following and promoting best practise in all areas of
digital evidence.
You will provide advice and support on IT forensic issues to other staff and
projects including, identifying digital evidence, planning the recovery of
digital evidence and advising generally on the use of computer forensic tools
during investigations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills
· Good base level IT skill set with knowledge of hard disk
geometry and current operating systems.
· Good technical skills with aptitude for problem solving.
· In depth experience of conducting investigations.
· Good understanding of the rules of evidence, criminal
investigation legislation, United Kingdom best practise guidelines for handling
digital evidence, and investigation techniques.
· Strong aptitude for forensic work - including ability to
analyse large volumes of complex information, produce complex evidence in
usable formats for investigation teams, identify relevant issues and devise
strategies to resolve them.

Industry Knowledge
· Good understanding of current digital forensic tools and
techniques and the issues challenging the forensic investigator.
· Have views on the future development of computer forensics
· Good knowledge of basic financial instruments, the UK financial
system (including money laundering legislation) and the financial markets.
