Job Summary:
Seasoned manager with 7+ years sales management experience, managing multiple 
sales personnel.  Implement distributor and reseller relationships and 
marketing programs that will significantly raise our profile and product 
awareness through the channel as well as have direct impact on revenue growth.  
Work with Websense sales team and partners to deliver maximum revenues.   

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
First level direct sales management, responsible for the sales performance of 
salespeople on his/her team.
 
Role Summary: 
- An individual in this job spends the majority of time in the field working 
with salespeople to coach, counsel and mentor them in all aspect of sales 
effectiveness in order to optimize sale’s revenue.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 
- Develop the business plan for and with the assigned geographic or account 
team by which assigned sales objectives will be achieved. 
- Develop individual quotas, budgets, etc. and ensures effective management 
within those parameters. 
- Ensure availability of appropriate sales resources and effectively allocates 
resources. 
- Provide leadership, coaching and counseling for all Websense associates in 
sales concepts, principles and practices.   
- Provide information to support appropriate qualification of new business 
opportunities and associated sales strategy within the assigned territory. 
- Manage interface between the customer account and Websense (including 
district sales team, alternate channels and corporate functions) for effective 
execution of the business plan.
- Develops relationships with key partners distributors, resellers, VARs and 
National accounts for the growth of our products within their markets.  Pass 
business through to target Partners.
- Manages a high volume and revenue Channel Pipeline to accurately forecast and 
deliver revenue commitments to management.
- Monitors and creates reports that reflect Channel Partner’s 
effectiveness in closing passed business.
- Interfaces with the Channel Sales Team & Marketing on program implementation 
and training efforts.
- Works with the CSMs to ensure smooth passage of business to the Channel.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
- BA in Business, Management or related field.
- 7 + years of related experience in a high tech company, managing multiple 
field sales people. National Account management experience with major software 
is desirable  quota responsibility for national accounts or a territory  
supervisory experience managing quota carrying sales staff (min. five years)  
track record in sales through the distribution channel.
- Skill in meeting company revenue objectives, managing large accounts, 
managing sales personnel and related activities, managing budgets, utilizing 
various resources effectively, negotiating with internal and external 
constituencies -- all aspects of selling, time management, organization and 
phone skills.
- Ability to understand, communicate and execute corporate objectives 
internally and externally, handle multiple activities within deadline, meet 
sales revenue objectives, communicate with a wide range of customers, 
distinguish between and understand the variety of needs of end users and 
solution providers, communicate with internal and external ‘vendors’ 
and ‘suppliers’ and write concise and accurate internal and external 
business communications.
- Evidence of having attained and exceeded quotas in previous positions.
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Persistently demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the 
company, the work, the vision and the people.
- Ability to strategically plan, forecast and manage a $25M+ region
