Juniper Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) Director
The Director of the Juniper SIRT organization is a critical position for
Juniper. The successful candidate will lead a company wide virtual team of
security personnel responsible for handling product related security incidents.
The Director will work closely with senior management and team members to
develop the virtual organization into a company wide defined, response and
process oriented team that that minimizes and mitigates security
vulnerabilities in Juniper Products, facilitates solutions in a timely manner
and facilitates communication of Juniper product vulnerabilities to Juniper
employees, Juniper partners and customers and to the public.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The director must understand the requirements for an effective SIRT
organization.
Drive the SIRT mission, objectives and provide a level of authority company
wide. Work with senior management on funding issues and strategies and
understand cross functional dotted line reporting structures.
Work with the SIRT team on defining and implementing SIRT policies and
procedures. This includes infrastructure requirements, collaboration and
communication issues internally and externally. Policies, procedures for when
Juniper Networks may collaborate with industry and/or governmental
organizations when appropriate to evaluate, assess, and design or develop
corrective actions or product updates.
Strong management, exceptional communication and presentation skills are also
required for customer and agency interactions.
Understanding of mission critical situations with experience managing fast
paced situations and making solid assessment decisions.
Possess executive level communication and negotiation skills.
Media relations experience as the Juniper SIRT spokesperson.
Three to five years security experience is a must. On call 24/7 requirements.
