Position: Security Consultant
Location: Toronto, Ontario, CA
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 03/25/2005
Sentry Metrics is growing, and is looking for qualified, experienced security
professionals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced challenging environment. We
are looking for motivated individuals who can work in two key areas: security
consulting for end customers, and inside security data analysis and auditing in
our SOC environment.
Outside Consultants will work hand-in-hand with our clients, identifying
problems, architecting solutions, and implenting security processes. In
addition Outside Consultants will work with our sales force on pre-sales
opportunities, helping with sales meetings, crafting proposals, responding to
RFP/RFIs, etc.
Inside Consultants will be responsible for working with customer information on
a day-to-day basis, identifying security anomolies, creating
reports/alerts/notifications unique to each client, and performing audit and
analysis services on an ongoing basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in the security field.
Experience with multiple security domains a definite asset.
Focus on Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Event Analsysis, Forensic investigations,
vulnerability assessments, and a particular focus on penetration testing are
all desired assets.
Incident Response Team experience helpful.
Previous experience creating enterprise security policies, as well as drafting
specific policies, would be beneficial.
Working knowledge of current standards and legislation (ie. ISO 17799,
Sarbanes-Oxley, PIPEDA, etc.).
Ability to work well both unsupervised and in a group setting.
Attention to detail, and a desire to do what's best for our customers at all
times.
CISSP certification a requirement.
CISA desired, although candidates willing to work towards this certification
will be considered.
