Software Architect - Antivirus
Our client is seeking an experienced antivirus engineer to work on their
state-of-the-art antivirus technology. The successful candidate will have
extensive experience and domain knowledge in the field of virus detection. The
accomplished practitioner will be a recognized figure in the AV community with
considerable domain expertise in the way virus exploits are written,
proliferated, and morph. State of the art insight as to future trends in AV
exploits is essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze industry trends and competitive technologies regarding virus
outbreaks
- Advance the early warning technologies regarding Virus outbreaks
- Develop and maintain a network of AV professionals in the industry to enhance
our leading edge positioning
- Develop algorithms and pattern recognition technologies to improve lead time
in early warning alerting system
- Drive technical relationships with OEM AV vendors
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years recent industry experience with a major AV player
- Primary AV experience in early detection technologies regarding virus
outbreaks
- BS Computer Science or equivalent
- Software development background in the areas of Email, AntiSpam and AntiVirus
- A solid understanding of virus signature/pattern matching techniques.

sense of "problem ownership" to see all issues through to successful
resolution.
- Flexibility and adaptability. Should be able to switch gears in a variety of
situations and apply him or herself to quickly learning new technologies and
adopting new methodologies.
- Demonstrates an ability to maintain a cool head under pressurized situations.

- Sense of urgency. Escalates product issues when appropriate maintains a
sense of "problem ownership" to see all issues through to successful
resolution. Strives to turn around issues with an efficient and effective
approach to the end customer's satisfaction.
