Position: Security Engineer
Location: Basel, , CH

Job Description:
Assisting business area users with information and physical security risk
assessments using BIS methodology, and performing technical security
assessments in response to changes required in processes and infrastructure due
to business needs.
Providing security follow-up in response to security incidents of any type.
Developing security concepts, principles and resulting architecture and
processes.
Translating internet/business threat models into control measures suitable for
implementation by the BIS.
Monitoring for security incidents and enhancing the methods used by the BIS for
the detection of security issues or non-compliance with BIS standards.
Implementing, coordinating and supporting security-related mandates to improve
BIS operations and security controls.
Preparing detailed security requirement specifications (ie OS configuration
standards, physical access control, video surveillance, etc) and undertaking
acceptance work related to their implementation.
Developing and enhancing the BIS Information Security Handbook (security policy
and procedures) and BIS Security's intranet website content.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of seven years' experience across the domain of IT and physical
security.
Experience in using and managing security-related technologies, including
intrusion detection systems and directory services in a corporate production
environment, and in defining corporate standards and policies for the use of
security technologies with respect to information and physical security.
Desirable - previous experience with some of the following tools and platforms:
Entrust, ISS IDS, Tripwire, Finjan, Windows 2003, Windows Security Templates
and Group Policy settings, HP-UX and general UNIX security settings and tools.
Good communication and writing skills in English a second language, eg German,
would be a plus.
Team player, ready to take the initiative and work independently and yet able
to develop support for security initiatives across the organisation. Must be
able to multitask.
Certification in security-related disciplines and technologies would be
beneficial (accreditation such as CISSP, CISA, CPP, PSP a plus).
