Linux/UNIX Security System Specialist
USmax Corporation. has an opening for a Linux/UNIX Security System Specialist
in Hyattsville, MD. The candidate will assist in installation, configuration,
and implementation of security hardware/software including Intrusion detection
systems (Dragon, Snort, and Cisco), Intrusion prevention systems, and firewalls
(Checkpoint, Cisco).
Duties include deployment and maintenance of various Linux or UNIX system and
network resources. In addition, this position will be responsible for system
and network monitoring and auditing. Additionally, position will assist in
network risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans. Applicant selected
must have the ability to obtain and maintain favorable background investigation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Applicant
must have knowledge of commonly-used security and systems administration
concepts, practices, and procedures. A thorough understanding of Linux system
administration and configuration including system and networking concepts is
required.
