Position:       Developer
Location:       San Jose, California, US
Type:           Permanent F/T
Closing Date:   03/20/2005

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help develop an embedded 
management platform that will enable smooth integration of appliance software 
and management applications.  You will be responsible for replacing the 
embedded configuration database with text-based XML data models.  Interface 
with network security feature owners, proxy software developers, and management 
application developers to perform the final integration. Also interface with 
business partners for integration of third party components.  




JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Certifications/ Licenses, Competencies
&#61607         Advanced degree is Mathematics, CS or EE
&#61607         Proficiency with XML schema, SOAP, Shell Script, C and C++ 
required. 
&#61607         Must have in depth knowledge of TCP/IP, Firewall, HTTP, Proxy 
Firewall, SSL, Gateway AV, NAT, IPSEC, IKE, and VPN. 
&#61607         Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix and embedded system is 
essential. 
&#61607         Solid industrial experience in providing network management 
support for advanced security features required. 
&#61607         Experience to model network security appliances with XML schema 
is plus. 
Minimum Experience Level:
&#61607         6 plus years of software development experience in the network 
security appliance development. 
&#61607         Significant experience with network protocol configuration and 
Linux system programming, especially in the multiple thread, inter-process 
communication and shared memory. 
&#61607         Delivering commercial-grade large scale software experience is 
essential.
