Sales Engineer/Systems Engineer/Pre-Sales Engineer

We are currently searching for an exceptional sales Engineer. You will be a 
strategic member of the sales team. You will be responsible for the following 
responsibilities:


Position Description
An integral member of the Boston sales team, you will assists sales in reaching 
revenue/profit objectives by providing quality pre-sales technical support and 
presentations to prospects and customers. Represents to client as the product 
expert and insures that technical issues do not cause delay in closing sales. 
Provides training and technical assistance to OEMs and VARs in assigned 
territory. Reports to the Manager of Professional Services.
Major Responsibilities 
Pre-Sales Responsibilities
•  Develop account sales strategies with sales representative. 
•  Understand prospects' technical organizational hierarchy and 
communicate to sales. 
•  Assist sales in making tactical decisions. 
•  Provide expert consultation to prospects/customers. 
•  Develops/supports evaluation installations at customer sites and via 
remote web tools. 
•  Account responsibility for all lead technical activities. 
•  Provide technical training and backup support to OEMs and VARs in 
assigned territory. 
Post-Sales Responsibilities
•  Manage and support production installations at customer sites or via 
remote web tools. 
•  Assist in Tier 1 customer support (help with feature/function 
questions, troubleshooting problems etc.). 
•  Coordinate issues with R&D support when required. 



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Skills Required 
•  Minimum of 5+ years of pre/post-sales technical support experience with 
Fortune 1000 customers. 
•  Strong technical knowledge and experience working with storage systems, 
Storage Area Networks, networking infrastructure, backup/recovery, Microsoft 
Windows server, Exchange server, SQL server. 
•  MSCE certification a plus. 
•  Solid understanding of sales cycle and experience working with 
technical decision makers and influencers in the sales process to close sales. 
•  Previous experience in high-growth software company and a 
"willingness to go the extra mile." 
•  Excellent presentation and project management skills.
