Position:       Sales Engineer
Location:       Minneapolis, Minnesota, US

Interact with our clients Core Account Team, Solutions Security Sales, 
Solutions Security Consulting Specialists, and Solutions Security Development 
Managers 
- Presales and client meeting support 
- Assist sales team in making appropriate contacts at existing clients 
-Identify additional opportunities at existing clients and work with sales team 
to close business 
- Opportunity qualification 
- Assist in the development of account strategy 
- Presentation and demonstration support 
- Consultative Selling 
- Work with the core sales organization to meet bookings and revenue: 
- Support the development of proposals, SOWs and other contract documentation 

Establish relationship with customer 
- Identify all the key technical influencers 
- Present our clients value proposition to executive level clients 
- Present our clients technical solution to management and engineering level 
clients 
- Establish positive relationships to earn their recommendation (credibility 
builder) 
- Position our client for enterprise-wide solutions and not narrow deployments 
- Prioritize multiple projects and communicate project requirements/timelines 
- Earn the right to use customer as referrals or case studies 

Along with Core Account Team, manage ongoing client relationship 
- Be able to articulate our clients value proposition to all levels within a 
customer’s organization 
- Be conversant in security related topics, methodologies, industry trends, and 
core technologies 
- Map customer’s identified business and technical issues to our clients 
solutions· 
- Identify technical (our client's or customer’s) barriers to sale 
- Identify and coordinate our clients internal resources required to develop 
customer solution 
- Assist customers in their evaluation of our clients products and services 
- Guide the RFP/RFI process to better position our client 
- Provide and review sample deliverables and project methodologies 
- Conduct educational sessions with groups within the customers' organization 

Proposal and SOW coordination and support 
- Own the technical solution development while Solutions Security Development 
Manager drives the value of the entire solution 
- Clear documentation of customer project needs 
- Work with Advanced Customer Engineering to complete technical solution for 
insertion into written document managed by Solutions Security Development 
Manager 




 




 

 
 
 



JOB REQUIREMENTS

JOB REQUIREMENTS 
- 6-8 Years Security/Managed Network Svc. technical sales consultant experience 
- Expert is Managed Security Services, Networking, Security Policy, Consulting 
- CISSP Security certification 
- Other industry certifications (CWSP, GIAC, ISSEP, ISSMP) and vendor 
certifications (Cisco, RSA) are desirable 
- Good overall Business skills 
- High standard of professionalism and ethics 
- Strong Presentation Skills 
- Ability to develop high level relationships 
- Good overall Business skills 
- High sense of urgency 
- Excellent communications skills (oral, written and presentation) 
- Ability to discuss our clients delivery approach 
- Able to identify our clients up-sell opportunities and transition to core 
account team 
- Previous experience in a consultative selling position 
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 
- BS degree in technical field preferred
