Position: Security System Administrator
Location: London, , GB

Digital Certificate Administrator
To be part of a global team supplying services for digital certificate
administration, digital certificate technical assistance, and active code
signing.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Issuing, revoking, maintaining x.509 certificates, applying digital signature
to active code using Microsoft SDK. Creating and maintaining policy.
Maintaining all procedural documentation.
Administer the Digital Certificate Provider Global ID account
Act as the Registration Authority (RA) for the organisation regarding server
certificates issued from the organisation’ s account with the Digital
Certificate Provider
Reviews certificate requests and verifies enrolment information
Administer the organisation's account with the Digital Certificate Provider
Creating and updating end-user enrolment documentation and procedures
Purchasing additional certificates
Providing account status reports.
Administer the lifecycle of server certificates issued from the
organisation’ s account with the Digital Certificate Provider
Issue, reissue, and revoke
Verify end-users renewal notification
Administer the lifecycle of certificates purchased through retail channels.
Purchase, reissue, and revoke as needed
Verify end-users renewal notification
Act as the technical contact for issues arising from the issue of server
certificates from our Digital Certificate Provider account.
Act as the liaison between The Digital Certificate Provider’ s technical
support and the end user.
Act as the point-of-contact for internally developed code requiring the
organisation's Software Publisher's Certificate.
Coordinate the signing of distributed code
Administer the organisation's Private CA
Build, maintain, and operate processes and procedures for the administrative
support of a CA environment and infrastructure.
Includes building and maintaining procedures for issuing, reissuing, and
revoking certificates as needed.
Includes building and maintaining the processes that drive the certificate
lifecycle.
Maintain, and operate processes to support a KMS for S/MIME encrypted email
services for the organisation to use internally and externally.
Document and maintain operational support and processes for Win2k Key
Management Service
Maintain, and operate processes to support Encrypted File System (EFS) in a W2K
back office.
Document and maintain EFS and EFS recovery procedures within a Win2k Active
Directory
Act as a EFS Recovery Agent, coordinate the recovery of Encrypted File System
files
Build, maintain, and operate processes to support future certificate services
as needed.
Overall goal is to streamline current processes, and simplify the end-user
experience without sacrificing security as certificate services expand
Answer questions regarding the PKI GPOs as they pertain to local and domain
policy.
Research Microsoft based PKI components as needed and assist in the ongoing
implementation of a Microsoft based Certificate Authority.
Research, create, and maintain a Certificate Policy and Certificate Practice
Statement(s) as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:
Any experience in the following areas would be most advantageous but not
essential.
Requesting, issuing, and installing x.509 certificates. Working with Developer
Code Signing and Authenticode CryptoAPI tools. Knowledge of Public Key
Cryptography Standards, Public Key Infrastructure Concepts, Certificate
Authorities and Registration Authorities. In addition the Digital Certificate
Administrator should possess a basic understanding of a Microsoft Certificate
Authority and its integration with Active Directory and have an understanding
of the Secure Sockets Layer.
