Introduction
Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Senior Information Security Architect with
expertise in event management to join their Information Security Engineering
and Architecture Team. Zions Bancorporation is one of the nation's premier

Responsibilities and Requirements
The Architect will be responsible for refining Zions’ event management
system and will provide third-level support to the Security Operations Event
Management Team. The Architect will also design and implement technical
security controls for new business technologies and applications.
The Architect must have experience with network intrusion detection, host
intrusion detection, and security event management in medium to large
environments. Specific experience in these areas should include sensor
configuration and deployment, centralized management, IDS rule writing, event
correlation and analysis, IDS policy creation and tuning, file integrity
checking, and log analysis. Experience should also include a strong
understanding of TCP/IP and the use of TCP/IP analysis tools as well as
experience with SQL and at least one scripting language.
The Architect must also have experience in assessing risk and designing and
implementing security controls for complex, highly integrated systems.
Specific security control expertise should span operating systems, platforms,
networking, communications, and applications.
