Position:       Sr. Security Analyst
Location:       Austin, Texas, US
Type:           Permanent F/T
Closing Date:   03/17/2005

Responsible for assisting in the administration of a statewide information 
technology security program.  Provides assistance with overall leadership and 
coordination of statewide IT security issues.  Will lead, direct, develop and 
perform vulnerability risk assessments, incident response activities, security 
system design, and scan/penetration analysis and testing.  Develops statewide 
plans, standards and guidelines to address new security technology issues and 
trends with a concentration in Internet and E-Business applications.  Performs 
independent research, and evaluation of emerging security-related technologies, 
standards, policy and guidelines.  May be responsible for ensuring IT security 
plans and standards are implemented statewide.  Provides training, assistance 
and guidance to other analysts and staff


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in 
information systems, computer science, telecommunications or related field.  
Two years related college course work plus additional two years IT Military 
Intelligence experience may substitute for higher education degree.  See
